Information we collect
We collect contact details, adoption application answers, and donation history to provide services and fulfill legal obligations. We also collect limited technical information (like device/browser details and timestamps) to keep the site reliable and prevent abuse.
Payments (Stripe)
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number. Stripe may store billing and payment details to process transactions, detect fraud, and provide receipts. We store payment records (amounts, timestamps, and identifiers) to reconcile transactions and support donors/adopters.
How we use data
Your information helps us coordinate adoptions, process donations, and share updates you opt into. We never sell personal data.
Data retention
We keep the minimum personal information needed to operate the service. Some records (especially payments) may be retained for accounting, legal, and fraud-prevention purposes. Where we can, we will redact personal details rather than deleting the entire record.
Your choices
You can request a data export, request corrections, and (where legally possible) redact your personal data. If you have a pending adoption application, we may ask you to withdraw it before redacting/unlinking so we can continue to process your application.
What we store locally
Local storage keeps your adoption progress moving even if you refresh or go offline.

GDPR tools
These tools are scoped to your account. Redaction/unlinking is blocked while you have a pending adoption application.
